WWE: The Ultimate Warrior - 5 Awesome Matches And 5 That Sucked

5 Matches That Sucked...

5. Ultimate Warrior And Hulk Hogan Vs Sgt Slaughter, Colonel Mustafa And General Adnan - SummerSlam 1991

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E79Erfdpmw0 Just take a look at the guys in this match ... of course it was terrible. This was all just way too gimmicky, character is good, but this over abundance of dynamics just didn't work. It was too much about story, diluting any reason to invest in the match as something to behold. Described as "A match made in hell" in promotional material it turned out be exactly that. Hogan and Warrior seemed to be having some sort of epileptic fit as they gesticulated around the ring. They looked ridiculous. The handicap tag dynamic with Sid Vicious thrown in to referee is as terrible as it sounds. What really marks this entry out for the list is Warrior's backstage conduct at the event. In his most controversial WWF moment, the Warrior went to Vince McMahon and refused to work. Hellwig wanted more money, telling Vince that unless it was forthcoming then he would not show up for work. The unprofessionalism was staggering. Hogan and Slaughter discussed roughing Warrior up, but instead McMahon paid up to get the colourful star to show. "I could not wait to fire him," McMahon later said about the incident - and that's exactly what he did as soon as Hellwig was done with the match.
