WWE: US Championship – A Legacy of Greatness DVD Review: 14 Interesting Observations
8. Paul Heyman Was Amazing On The Mic In 1991
I'm 23, so a lot of the footage that was covered in the first two DVDs especially was stuff that I had never seen before.
Something that caught my eye was a promo that Paul Heyman, known as Paul E. Dangerously back then, cut on Sting while managing Rick Rude in WCW. The pair's match for the title from Clash of the Champions XVIII was shown.
The Stinger's leg had been injured and he required attention at a local hospital. Rude and Heyman took to the ring with the advocate telling the sold out crowd Sting didn't care for them - he obviously did it a lot more eloquently than that, but you catch my drift. Sting would return in an ambulance and just made it into the ring in time.
Paul been the best in the world when it comes to managing talent since his very early days in the business.
