WWE Vengeance PPV Results - Big Show & Mark Henry Destroy Ring

Full match results from last night's WWE Vengeance PPV from San Antonio, Texas.

WWE Vengeance PPV October 23, 2011 San Antonio, Texas WWE Tag Team Championship Air Boom (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler & Jack Swagger w/ Vickie Guerrero Good opening match, Air Boom retained with Trouble in Paradise on Ziggler and Bourne hit the Shooting Star Press for the pinfall. Air Boom retain. They put over Ziggler's broken body and tiredness for his next match... WWE United States Title Dolph Ziggler (c) vs. Zack Ryder Ryder had most of the offensive on a weakened Ziggler but he kept the title when Swagger at ringside tried to trip up Ryder and Ziggler catches him out of nowhere with a big superkick for the pinfall. Ziggler retains. WWE Divas Championship Beth Phoenix (c) vs. Eve Torres Eve came out to new music but that's as loud as the crowd got in a match the crowd were just dead for. They played the submission hold card and getting Beth over as an administrator of pain. Match finished with Eve missing a top rope moonsault that led to the Glam Slamm for the win. Beth Phoenix retains. Sheamus vs. Christian Crowd were DEAAAAAAAAAAAD for this one and the commentators were bored and joking among themselves. Sheamus won when Christian wnt for a second Spear on Sheamus (he kicked out of the first) and the Celtic Warrior got him with a Brogue kick for the win. Christian loses clean. What's he gotta do to win a match? Triple H & CM Punk vs. The Miz & R-Truth Crowd popped for the entrances but were dead for the match, with the few exceptions of Triple H in the ring. A much fitter looking, and miraculously, a somewhat moveable Kevin Nash came in through the crowd and beat up HHH whilst Punk lost the match to Truth and Miz executing a facebuster/Skull Crushing Finale that Michael Cole was putting over as a 'Little Jimmy Slam' or something ridiculous. Then Nash got Hunter in the ring and as I said, looked more mobile than he has in years. He gave a sick looking Jacknife Powerbomb on HHH where he landed almost on his head. The commentators showed it from every angle possible and in slow motion as HHH sold it out (perhaps not acting!). If Nash can keep up the pace he showed in the two minutes here and can take some bumps and not blow himself or his knee out, these two might be able to tell a story in the ring. I don't think Nash will be ready for Survivor Series in a 1-1 but perhaps the PPV afterwards HHH and Nash will be a marquee match. Non-title match Randy Orton vs. WWE Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes Despite interference from several baggers, Orton wins with an RKO. They really got over that Rhodes wasn't in Randy Orton's league, for whatever that is worth. WWE World Heavyweight Championship Mark Henry (c) vs. Big Show Match was built up well and was a decent enough brawl. They then did the ring collapse thing they did with Brock Lesnar and The Big Show on Smackdown seven or so years ago and the referee sold it like there was an Earthquake. Crowd popped huge, but not as big as that SD pop. With Big Show and Henry looking like they were dead, the match was called a no finish. Pretty smart finish, I'd say. Acting interim manager John Laurinaitis got on the mic and assured everyone the WWE Title match will still be taking place despite the broken ring. VERY VERY DUMB and they should have put Henry/Show on last. It was a better hyped contest anyway. John Laurinaitis gets on the mic and assures everyone that the WWE Championship match will still take place tonight. WWE Championship €“ Last Man Standing Match Alberto Del Rio (c) w/ Ricardo Rodriguez vs. John Cena So with a collapsed ring, it's an unstable contest that quickly ends up around the arena and of course to the giant V sign. Cena put Del Rio through the Spanish announcing table and was back in the ring not expecting Del Rio to get up. But then The Miz and R-Truth interfered to attack Cena and gave him the Skull Crushing Finale. Both men were able to get up on the 9 count but then Del Rio hit Cena with the Title Belt and both men on the floor. Del Rio was able to get up on 9 and Cena couldn't, so Del Rio retains. Del Rio retains.
