WWE: Vince McMahon's 12 Favourite Performers Ever

8. Andre The Giant

One giant who did draw business for McMahon was Andre. The 8th wonder of the world was a huge attraction to WWF audiences of the 1980's. Vince was bowled over by the big man too, booking him as the strongest act on his roster, arguable more so even than WWF Champion Hulk Hogan. The two men were clearly on a collision course, and at Wrestlemania 3 Vince booked what he viewed as the ultimate main event €” Andre vs Hogan for the WWF Championship. It was billed as the Irresistible force meeting the immovable giant, helping launch the WWF into the stratosphere of mainstream entertainment. Vince never forgot Andre's part in making the WWE what it is, and has honoured him ever since. The Giant was the first ever inductee into the Hall of Fame and has always being held in a revered manner by the WWE. In many ways he was The Undertaker before The Undertaker existed, the locker room leader of the 80's. All the talent and McMahon looked at Andre in this way and Vince gave the Giant a level of respect he gave to no one else in that period.
