CM Punk
CM Punk is not the man he was 12 months ago. Not unlike the time he delivered his world famous Pipe Bomb Promo he's burned out. That didn't stop him delivering a 4 star performance at Wrestlemania against The Undertaker but it does mean his time off may end up being a little longer than we anticipated, despite being advertised for tonight's episode of RAW. With John Cena back on top as WWE Champion the logical next step is for Punk to challenge his old adversary in another run of top notch matches but is it too soon for Punk to be banging on Cena's door again? If he doesn't challenge for the WWE Championship what could he possibly do? One rumour has him forming a tag team with Brock Lesnar. That means he only has to do half the work allowing himself to heal up a little and could be the best way of setting up the inevitable match between the two 'Paul Heyman Guys' somewhere down the line. Punk has stated he's into the idea so don't be too quick to rule it out folks. The only other way we see Punk going is down a path of retribution of his own culminating in a 3rd match with The Rock which hopefully would suck less than their previous matches. This wouldn't be ideal but could allow Punk to get that elusive tick in the win column against The Great One without any title being on the line. That puts him back on the same level as Cena and can open the door for the modern day Hogan and Savage to do what they do best once again.
