The Rock vs. CM Punk
Of course there's every possibility that CM Punk retains the title (or loses it and wins it back of course) and for the first time ever, we might see what happens when you put the Great One in a ring with The Best in the World. There are those who feel that Punk worked better as a heel than as a face and was at his best when he led the Straight Edge Society against the company's top good guys. And if you caught Monday night's 1000th episode of RAW you'll agree that his cheap attack on the Rock indicates at least a semi-return to his villainous ways; a match-up between the two fan-favourites certainly seems to have been heavily foreshadowed. While he's no small guy, The Rock still just about pips CM Punk in terms of size but this isn't something that I expect would factor too much into the match. Punk is known for his resiliency and I struggle to imagine him being taken out of the equation easily, even by someone as powerful as The Rock. That said, The Rock isn't easy to beat at the best of times and with a title shot in the mix, I imagine he'll want it all the more. CM Punk is probably one of the only real contenders for this match-up who hasn't already faced The Great One and with his fan-given status as the greatest of all time' and Punk's current status as one of WWE's top performers; I'd be personally hard pushed to come up with a better main event.
