WWE Women's Title Set To Be Defended In Saudi Arabia For The First Time

SmackDown's women are about to make some history.

Carmella Naomi

Bayley announced on SmackDown that she'd defend her Women's Title against the winner of Carmella vs. Naomi at Super ShowDown.

That number one contender's match is set to take place on next week's episode, and it'll help WWE make some more history. Super ShowDown will mark the first time one of the promotion's female titles has been defended in Saudi Arabia.

Natalya vs. Lacey Evans was the first match to take place in the country at Crown Jewel last October, but that was a non-title exhibition. Now, WWE (who are obsessed with the phrase "first ever") are looking forward to shouting from the rooftops about a historic championship bout.

All signs point towards Naomi getting the nod. She seemed in line for a crack at Bayley before taking the fall in a Fatal-4-Way last week. Then, on this week's SmackDown, she rushed out to help Carmella fend off the heel champion after Bayley scored a win.

It'd be a surprise if the company put 'Mella in there for a rematch, but there is scope for a Triple Threat involving all three women if WWE fancy letting the 'Princess Of Staten Island' in on some history making.
