WWE WrestleMania 1 Stars - Where Are They Now?

27. Ricky 'The Dragon' Steamboat

At WrestleMania I, Steamboat defeated jobber Matt Borne in relatively short order. It was a major moment for Steamboat, and soon afterwards he€™d become a prominent figure in WWE. Steamboat would continue wrestling full-time until his retirement in 1994. After being retired for eight years, Steamboat made some important early appearances forTNA, refereeing their first €˜Gauntlet for the Gold€™ tournament for the NWA world Heavyweight Championship. Since then, he has been a road agent for WWE. Most recently, he was a trainer for WWE, and was involved in training his own son, Richie Steamboat. But when his son was released from WWE and later retired from pro wrestling, Steamboat himself stopped training and instead transitioned into being a WWE Ambassador under a Legends contract. Also, the man doesn€™t appear to age and despite being 61, he still looks to be in fantastic shape.
