Ed Leslie was always an interesting character. There was never anything about him that really screamed top guy, yet he was still placed in marquee positions, due to his close relationship with Hulk Hogan. As a result, he was given a prominent position on the WrestleMania I card, against none other than the son of Bruno Sammartino. It was an important match because Vince McMahon was trying to elevate David as a means of getting Bruno to work for the WWE more often. But the match ended in a double disqualification and didnt do anyone any favors. These days, Leslie makes appearances on the convention circuit, and makes a few other sporadic appearances as well. In 2013, he appeared in Toronto and claimed to be Toronto Mayor Rob Fords angel of mercy during the latter's crack cocaine scandal.
