WWE WrestleMania 1 Stars - Where Are They Now?

5. 'Mr. Wonderful' Paul Orndorff

At WrestleMania, Orndorff teamed with Roddy Piper in the main event tag team match against Hulk Hogan and Mr. T. in the first ever WrestleMania main event. It was a major position to have, even if he wasn€™t the megastar that his opponent Hogan would become. Sadly, after WrestleMania I, the years wouldn€™t be to kind to Orndorff. He injured his right arm during a major feud with Hulk Hogan, and that injury soon spread to his neck as well. He retired from pro wrestling in 1988, and transitioned to managing his bowling alley in Fayetteville, Georgia, a position that he maintains to this day. Though he did return to pro wrestling after his injury healed, he never achieved the same degree of success as during his first run. Though he was diagnosed with cancer in early 2011, by August of that same year, he announced that he was cancer free. Orndorff makes odd appearance for WWE every now and again.
