After his success at WrestleMania I, Hogan would go on to main event numerous subsequent Manias, hold multiple championships, acquire even more accolades, and could become arguably the most famous pro wrestler ever. However, On June 24th, 2015, a hidden recording of Hogan was released to the public, which featured Hogan using racial slurs with seemingly malicious intent. Since then, Hogan has been fired from WWE, had his Hall of Fame entry removed, and WWE has begun a campaign of not mentioning him wherever possible. He has become an embattled public figure who has been desperately trying to convince the world that he isnt as racist as those comments suggest. In recent weeks, the heat on Hogan appears to have died down somewhat, and everyone seems to be forgetting that rant. Though he isnt making any appearances for WWE as of yet, hes still being mentioned on WWE Network programs, and there isnt as much of an effort to erase his legacy as was initially expected.
