WWE WrestleMania 29 Fantasy Booking: 10 Matches That Should Take Place

Cody Rhodes Vs Sheamus I€™m not going to lie, I really didn€™t know what to do with these guys and this is by far my least favourite match on this card. But as I type I might come up with some ideas. So please, bare with me. On my original card I had Rhodes defending the Tag Titles alongside Damien Sandow but seeing as they have disbanded that€™s pretty much blown out of the water. Sheamus on the other hand was involved in a triple threat match for the World Title but I€™ll explain later why I decided against it. I personally feel that Sheamus, over the past year, has over achieved against what his talents actually are and doesn€™t need a big push at Mania, just a solid outing and maybe a realignment. He€™s gone from the Irishman steeped in Celtic lore who wants to beat people up to the weird guy in the back making obscure Father Ted jokes. We can€™t deny he is a great brawler but a heel Sheamus would be better for business. Cody Rhodes could be a great face. See where I€™m going? Sheamus is involved with The Shield at the moment in a throw away match at the Chamber PPV, Rhodes has a moustache! The cheers for Rhodes (and his lip tickler) are increasing each show and cannot be ignored as he is a very likeable sorta chap and has more to offer as a face than a stupid Irishman gimmick. Perhaps at the Chamber PPV The Shield get the better of Sheamus and he goes down and stays down. Cena and Ryback could pick up the win quite nicely to keep the momentum but afterwards, Sheamus is distraught on how he was beaten to a pulp and unable to be the tough guy of the team. His ego has taken a beating and he feels it. Ryabck and Cena are shunned by him in some easy to explain, short backstage segments and he starts to show some real aggression. During this time Rhodes is perhaps picked as a partner of Sheamus€™ when no one wants to do it for a match but Sheamus breaks down and ends up destroying Rhodes for what would appear to be no apparent reason after their opponents run off leaving Sheamus no one to pound on. (I€™ll come to that later) Rhodes takes a week or two off and comes back to lay on the vengeance and the match is built. Whatta ya know, I managed to create something not too bad. I think these two could have a great match and would be nice break from the high action from the previous two matches. Fantasy booking Winner: Sheamus I€™m booking a Sheamus heel turn here and a dodgy victory for him would really add to this. Rhodes would also have an out as a new face. I feel Rhodes has a lot to offer in terms of ability in ring and on the mic but his current persona doesn€™t appear to be going anywhere. Let€™s see what he can do as a face against one of the top new talents. Click next for the Tag Team Championship match€
