10. Rey Mysterio vs Alberto Del vs Sin Cara
The theme of Rey Mysteria to kick off the night of festivities. Reys music still gets crowds going so quite an obvious choice to get people to stand up. He also tends to put some effort into his attire on WrestleMania night so seeing his, more than likely, superhero inspired outfit will make the night feel special right off the bat. I dont think its been a secret for a while that creative wanted Rey Vs Cara at Mania as a super duper lucha libre match and why not. Both have a grand history of superb Lucha action and even though Rey cant quite flip like he used to, being in the ring with an experienced guy like Cara will push him to potentially look better and faster in WWE than he has before. The reason I have chosen to add Alberto to the match is two-fold. Cara has reportedly asked for some time off and therefore may not be able to create a good programme with Rey before Mania, Alberto can do this for him. Secondly it is reported that management want to try and make Bertie a face of sorts. Nothing would get a crowd reaction to change from negative to positive more so than Del Rio showing the world how good he is as a luchador; with flips and dives etc. Lets not forget kids he was a highly accomplished star in Mexico before having to tone down his style to fit into the WWE heel mould. The whole angle could come from Alberto stating he was the greatest luchador in Mexican history before he came to WWE, Mysterio disagrees and if Sin Cara comes back part way through the angle, he could throw his 2 pence into the situation. Nice, simple and we all get to see a truly kick ass, high octane match to kick start WrestleMania 29. Fantasy Booking Winner Alberto Del Rio Hes got more to offer in the future than the old timer Rey as well as Cara who doesnt seem to be able to find a purchase on the pecking order. Del Rio could also go deeper into a heel beating two of the kiddies favourites or turn face by having a superb show case and running with it from then on.
