The Rock Vs John Cena - WWE Championship
When The Rock and John Cena fought at last year's Wrestlemania with nothing on the line except respect it was dubbed 'One Time Only'. Cut to one year later and they're going at it again but this time The Rock is the WWE Champion with good old John Cena completing his 'redemption' story by challenging for the belt. It's classic WWE storytelling at it's best it's just a shame they had to give Rock the belt because let's face it he's done naff all in the ring other than wrestle 2 terrible matches with CM Punk. The build this year has bee better than last year although I'm not a fan of anything involving Rocky any more Thankfully we've seen a glimpse of his serious side rather than the stupid moron he portrayed last year. It's just a shame that confidence is low in his wrestling a classic match given how poorly he's performed with Punk at the last 2 Pay Per Views.
Prediction: Cena needs this. How else do you conclude his year of redemption without him defeating The Rock? Of course there's talk of Lesnar/Rock for the belt at Summerslam so it's anybody's guess if WWE will pull the swerve. If pushed I'd say Cena wins and takes the belt however I'm going to swing against popular opinion and have Cena beat Rock using questionable tactics. He doesn't have to turn heel per se but if he cheats to win but maintains he's a face then WWE can go with the Rock/Cena 3 match they so obviously want next year at Wrestlemania 30.
Fallout: Cena plays the tainted babyface who had to cheat to beat The Rock. A great heel like CM Punk can remind him of this fact each and every week leading to the final confrontation at next year's 'Mania in which Cena goes over clean. If WWE can't be arsed with the long haul main event yet again then Cena's questionable win can eat away at him until he snaps and turns heel for real but at this stage that's highly unlikely. With no belt where does Rocky go? Anyone remember when Daniel Bryan challenged him on RAW 1000? There's a unique feud to keep him busy until Brock Lesnar! What do you think?
