WWE Wrestlemania 29: Preview & Predictions
Chris Jericho Vs Fandango WWE must have high hopes for Johnny Curtis for them to allow him to debut his Disco Inferno style gimmick on it's biggest show of the year. It also says a lot about how much faith they have in Chris Jericho to help make Curtis look like a big time player. At lease if Fandango falls on its face as a gimmick then at least he can disappear from the scene as quickly as he showed up. Oh wait, he's been 'debuting' for months right? Prediction: Jericho has nothing to prove. Last year's match with Punk was nothing special but it was OK and if anyone can make Johnny Curtis look like he belongs then it's him. There's been enough hype surrounding Fandango's in ring debut that it's hard to imagine any result in which he doesn't go over. The only possible way he loses is if they're dropping the character after the PPV. Fallout: We already know Jericho is scheduled for the UK tour but beyond that he's probably done for a while. Fandango with a win as big as this should go on to a pretty decent push on RAW and Smackdown but it's hard to imagine where he fits in to either show at the moment, especially when there will likely be call ups from NXT to contend with too in the week's after 'Mania. The only feud I can see him slotting into easily is against Tons of Funk assuming he's still Fandango after the PPV and not plain old Johnny Curtis. Alternative Match: Jericho Vs Ziggler would have been better but I'm interested to see where this one goes.
