WWE WrestleMania 30: 10 Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal Predictions

3. Dolph Ziggler Needs To Be The Marathon Man

!--> Every Royal Rumble or Battle Royal needs a marathon man, that one competitor who starts early and if doesn't win at least makes it to the final four. With superstars waiting around for the next planned elimination and too many bodies in the ring there is inevitable down periods of inaction, this one superstar is usually relied on by the WWE to stop the match from grinding to a halt. A good marathon man can save a potentially average Battle Royal/Royal Rumble and make it one of the most memorable events of the year, case in point Ric Flair in 1992, Shawn Michaels in 1995 and Rey Mysterio in 2006. On the flip side of the coin CM Punk was clearly positioned by the WWE for the role in this year's Royal Rumble, instead in a sign of things to come a combination of being burnt out and a lack of motivation saw Punk decide to lay down in the corner for most of the match. Without anybody else booked to step up to this role and despite the Shield's best efforts the Royal Rumble fell apart. A shame really as just a few years earlier in the 2011 Royal Rumble, Punk was again given this important role and his performance single-handedly saved the match from mediocrity. The candidate for this role needs to possess three qualities - an ability to work well with everyone, obvious stamina and be popular enough to keep the crowd intrigued throughout the match. Step forward Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler is clearly the fan's choice to win the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal and whilst he should not win the whole thing it would be a mistake for him not be used as the foundation to build the match around. There are other candidates who could pull off this role namely a Rey Mysterio with working knees but currently the €˜Show Off€™ is the best equipped.
