WWE WrestleMania 30: 10 Most Shocking Things We Witnessed

3. Hogan Doesn't Know Where (Or When) He Is

The official opening, which saw three of the biggest mythology making stars in the history of WrestleMania was a particularly breathless highlight, with the three entrances receiving increasing responses from the audience and media, and the hyperbole police out in full force when various commentators around the net proclaimed themselves "dead" on the arrival of Rocky. It was a great moment that was otherwise only marred by the fact that Ric Flair didn't appear - was there not room for a fourth member in the old boys lovein? - and by Hogan's repeated fluffing of lines. Not only did he refer to the company as the WWF (ironically just a day after Ultimate Warrior had expressed his wish that the name would change back at the Hall Of Fame ceremony), he also called the Superdome the Silverdome, suggesting that he thought he was in Detroit, and not New Orleans. Perhaps he'd just practised the three way double-beer crush a few two main times in rehearsals.
