WWE: WrestleMania 30: 10 Things We Are Most Disappointed With

9. AJ Lee Has No Competition

Aj Lee I was originally going to call this slide; 'The Divas Division Is Non-Existent', but that's not quite true. AJ Lee is the most talented diva to step up to the main roster at WWE since Trish and Lita. She can put on a good match, as shown against Kaitlyn at Payback in June. She can also go on the mic, as shown by her delivering what has been dubbed a 'pipebomb shell' in what was the best divas promo for a long time. The WWE recognise this, which is why they have used her in a number of big roles, pitting her with main guys and as the general manager of RAW. AJ Lee isn't the problem here... The problem is that there is nobody on her level for her to feud with. The current roster of divas is probably the worst in recent memory and there are just no good characters there. We've already seen AJ feud with Natalya (the other best female wrestler on the roster), the Bella twins (the other most popular divas in the division) and her feud with Naomi has had to be put on hold due to injury. The WWE's only option at this point is to have AJ feud with Tamina Snuka, which may not be a bad feud, but not Wrestlemania caliber. Tamina has been stuck as AJ's 'bodyguard' for the past few months, which could have actually earned her some credibility, if not for the fact that she has continued to lose to all of the other divas. It's asking a lot to build Tamina to the required level in the 6 weeks between now and Wrestlemania. This makes the decision not to have called divas like Paige up from NXT all the more baffling. The divas division needs some depth and diversity, yet they have some great female characters currently stuck down at NXT. Calling up Emma is a good start, but she doesn't have the time to become considered a main eventer in time for Wrestlemania. One of the things wrong with WWE at the moment is their disregard for the divas division and it will probably mean that they have to settle for a 2 minute, multi-diva tag match (probably involving some celebrity or other) instead of being able to showcase the best that the division has to offer, in a match for the title.
