WWE WrestleMania 30: 7 Current Problems That Need Resolving

4. CM Punk Has Not Returned

Cm Punk Best When WWE recently brought Monday Night Raw to Chicago, many fans believed that was the night that The Best in the World would finally return. From the moment that CM Punk left the company, the rumor mill has been spinning. Why did he really leave? Was it a disagreement with upper management concerning the direction of his character? Was he just tired, beat up from nearly three straight years of constant main event matches and programs? Or was Punk upset over Batista challenging for the WWE World title, while he was apparently headed for a match against Triple H? Despite which reason fans believed, the truth is that at this point, it's almost impossible to really know why CM Punk chose to leave the number one pro wrestling company in the world. But the fact is, he's gone and with him goes many storyline possibilities that could have evolved on the road to WrestleMania. Chief among those possibilities was the potential inclusion of Punk into the WWE World Championship match between Randy Orton and Batista. This is a match that a good majority of the WWE faithful quite honestly have no interest in seeing and considering Batista recently turned heel, the door is wide open for Punk to be added to the mix. However, Punk is not walking through that door. And despite where the fault lies or what happens from this point on, the fact is that WWE fans want Punk at Mania. He would have been the best answer to liven up the top title match, especially since Daniel Bryan is obviously going to work Triple H. WWE fans know what they want. But the company could perhaps not work out a deal with Punk to appear at WrestleMania 30 or Punk was just not open to coming back. Either way, one of WWE's brightest stars and best performers of the modern era is evidently not going to be booked on the grandest stage of them all.
