Intercontinental Championship
Seth Rollins (c) Vs Big E Langston Both of these guys (both former and current NXT Champions respectively) have already made a huge splash in the WWE even if they have had fewer than 10 matches between them since being elevated to the main roster. Big E is destined to be a huge star in the years to come with his charisma and overwhelming amount of power and skill. Rollins is The Shield's resident Wrestler and I honestly see him being pushed as a singles competitor over Ambrose purely because Reigns needs Ambrose as a mouth piece. Over the coming year I would predict and hope that The Shield remain a genuine faction but evolve further by gaining gold, breaking off into singles / two man tag competition and by adding additional members to create a genuine force within the WWE. (More of that to come) I would have The Shield only add newer main roster members to its ranks and would even have Big E join the group. Having him turn on Dolph and begin a short feud; potentially over the World Title. But like most things, before Mania the group has its differences and once Rollins wins the IC title, Big E stakes a claim to it. The most entertaining way to make this match though would be for Rollins to leave the Shield close to WrestleMania; bringing Big E in as the Shield Representative to beat the betrayer for his troubles. I see Rollins as a great cocky face in his own right and with Ambrose in the Shield; I dont feel hell be over as much as he could. Again, the Shield NEED Ambrose! If The Shield and Big E were booked correctly over the year this would be a rocking opener for Mania with two men that the current fans can really get behind. Like all of manias openers it wouldnt be a long match but my faith in these two Rookies is so great I would imagine most would value this as a potential match of the night!
