WWE Wrestlemania 30 Review: 5 Things We Learned

2. Cesaro Wins The Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

Well, it wasn't pretty, and it really wasn't alot of fun, but in the end the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal served its purpose and gave us some great spots. It also produced a winner in Cesaro, who was fresh off a seemingly bitter breakup with Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter during the Wrestlemania Pre-Show. There were some great spots in the battle royal, including another floor-defying maneuver from Kofi Kingston over the ringpost and onto the steel steps, but in the end Cesaro stole show. In fact, Cesaro had his Wrestlemania moment tonight to win the battle royal: he slammed Big Show out of the ring to win the match, much akin to Hogan/Andre from Wrestlemania 3 when Hogan slammed Andre. But this was possibly more impressive for Cesaro: not only did he body slam Big Show over the top rope to win the match, but in doing so he held Show over his shoulder, walked him halfway across the ring, and delivered him to the floor. Cesaro wins the inaugural Andre battle royal, and in turn becomes a true superstar.
