WWE WrestleMania 32: 10 Potential Opponents For Triple H
2. Kevin Owens
Much has been made online of the fact that, as implausible as it seems on paper, Triple H is a huge proponent of Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens. Given Owens's quick rise in NXT, it's not hard to believe - unfortunately, his support in WWE hasn't been as passionate, with a series of losses to John Cena destroying the momentum with which he debuted. Still, Owens is far from a lost cause, and a bout with his buddy Triple H could make him into a top heel, which the company sorely needs. The program would be similar to the HHH-Wyatt feud - Owens would target Triple H personally, eventually forcing "The Game" to turn face. Rather than bring magic tricks and Sister Abigail into the mix, though, Owens's attacks would be deeply personal and sinister. He'd brutalize HHH every chance he got, continually telling him that he'll climb to the top of the company or destroy it in the process - with no regrets about taking food out of the mouths of "The Game's" family. Suddenly, Owens would seem like the new Cerebral Assassin, and Triple H would find himself in a very unfamiliar position. The match itself would be a unique brawl, with Owens bringing his unorthodox offense to surprise and stifle "The Game." A clean win by the current Intercontinental Champion would cement him as the Triple H of a new generation.
