WWE WrestleMania 32: 10 Potential Opponents For Triple H
4. Shane McMahon
Sure, Shane McMahon's been gone from WWE for six years. Yes, his place on the card would be better served, in the long term, being given to an up-and-coming superstar. And of course, Shane could be pretty irritating as an on-screen character. Still, there's no match for Triple H with as much built-in backstory as this one. When Shane left WWE at the beginning of 2010, many speculated that he was frustrated over being left in the dust as more and more power was given to Stephanie and Triple H. True or not, it's the perfect fodder for a storyline - the McMahon scion could return and explain his point of view. Without whining, he'd say he was forced out of WWE, and that wouldn't even bother him if it weren't for what his sister and brother-in-law have done to the company in his absence. In an attempt to take the company back for the fans, he'd challenge HHH to a match, and just like that, many Attitude Era fans would be interested in the show. Yes, it's a longshot, but keep in mind that not only did Shane never get a proper send-off, but WWE is also releasing a DVD of his matches in 2016.
