WWE WrestleMania 32: 10 Things We Learned
7. There's Still Hope For The League Of Nations
By stark contrast to their opponents on the pay-per-view, the League Of Nations didn't look like a stable going anywhere before WrestleMania. Sheamus, Alberto Del Rio, Rusev and 'King' Barrett were almost shunted together without any real explanation late last year, but they were also booked to defeat The New Day on WWE's biggest show of the year.
In a 6-man tag affair, Sheamus, Del Rio and Rusev looked dominant at times against Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods and Big E. Even the often-undermined Barrett helped proceedings, interfering towards the end of the match and effectively handing his side the win.
The real challenge now comes in making 'The Lads' a more effective part of programming, instead of mid card heels who sniff around waiting on a babyface in need of a quick win. WrestleMania's match was a non-title affair, meaning The New Day are still WWE Tag-Team Champs, but there's scope for a future crack at the belts for League Of Nations.
As heels, they now have a legitimate claim to being top contenders. They're moving in the right direction, at least.
