Right now, Zack Ryder must be pinching himself and asking those closest to him if he's simply been experiencing some kind of bizarre dream recently.

A few weeks ago, Ryder wasn't even on the WrestleMania card, but an unfortunate injury to Neville landed the lower-level babyface a spot in the WWE Intercontinental Title Ladder Match.

Snatching the chance with both hands, Ryder must have been pleased to learn that fans haven't cooled when it comes to their high opinion of him. Despite their best efforts to completely bury the guy and move on from a brief 2011 push, WWE haven't been able to outright kill Ryder's relevancy with or connection to the core audience.

That's down to the man's natural likeability, as people just dig his goofy charm and underdog characteristics. Winning the Intercontinental Title is not something even Ryder would have been able to foresee, given far out of the picture just a short while ago.
