WWE WrestleMania 32: 6 Matches That Must Happen (And How To Book Them)
6. Chris Jericho vs Dean Ambrose (Intercontinental Championship)
To the delight of the Internet Wrestling Community, Dean Ambrose became the new Intercontinental Champion at the Tables, Ladders, and Chairs pay-per-view. Kevin Owens is likely to invoke his rematch clause either on an upcoming RAW, or at the Royal Rumble. Ambrose will retain, and should have a lengthy reign as the IC champ, which seems like a perfect fit for Ambrose after playing the sidekick role for Roman Reigns the last few months. At first thought, it made sense that Ambrose could defend his title at WrestleMania 32 in a Fatal Four Way against other top mid carders, possibly Bray Wyatt, Dolph Ziggler and Kevin Owens. However, with the WWE trying to bring back as many big names as possible to make this event a success in Dallas, another name and match came to mind. Chris Jericho is regarded by most as the greatest Intercontinental Champion ever, holding it a record 9 times. The matchup makes sense, as Jericho prefers working with the younger stars in the business and putting them over. We've seen him feud with Bray Wyatt, as well as work with Neville and Fin Balor during WWE's tour of Japan. Unfortunately, we also saw him lose to Fandango in his debut match at WrestleMania a few years back. A surprise return to the Royal Rumble match could be the way to get Chris Jericho back on WWE TV. A short stint back with the company leading up to WrestleMania, could also give the WWE some much needed star power. Jericho doing the honors at WrestleMania would solidify Dean Ambose's Intercontinental Championship reign.
