Undertaker vs. John Cena is a match that WWE has been wanting to run with for years at WrestleMania. Had Cena not been injured last year, it likely would have gone down. Shane was an emergency opponent who came out of nowhere to return for one of the biggest matches on the card. He was a serviceable replacement for the night, but now WWE has to go back to Plan A before it’s too late.

Taker needs another dream match with a true top star to satisfy fans at Mania. If the collision with Goldberg isn’t going to happen, then Cena is the man to help him deliver a memorable bout.

The two haven’t feuded since Cena’s early days, and are now at completely different places in their careers. With Cena pushed as the top star in the company over the past decade, The Undertaker is really the only beast he has left to slay in any form.

They wouldn’t have to do much to get the crowd excited, and would largely rely on brawling and hitting their trademark moves. Taker wouldn’t have to overly exert himself like in his Lesnar matches, and could have more of a basic match that wouldn't test the limits of his body. Besides that, the story they’d tell in the ring would be fascinating, and the crowd’s reaction would be a blast.

Cena and Taker need to battle one last time, and Mania may be the last great opportunity to do so.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
