WWE WrestleMania 33: 7 Potential Replacements For Seth Rollins
3. Shinsuke Nakamura
No nostalgia value at all in this next one, just a really intriguing prospect that would likely deliver the goods.
Truth be told, there isn’t really an obvious rationale behind Triple H facing Shinsuke Nakamura. At this point, it’s just become something of a reflex to suggest Nakamura as a WrestleMania opponent at any opportunity, if only to use it as an excuse to get him to the main roster where he belongs.
That being said, Triple H’s NXT history could easily be used as the basis for this encounter. In the interest of mixing things up though, why not have Shinsuke call out Triple H for supposedly overlooking him in favour of Samoa Joe, Finn Bálor, or any of the NXT alumni that have progressed through the ranks while Shinsuke waits patiently in the Performance Centre?
Of all the suggestions on this list so far, this is by far the most unlikely prospect, but that doesn’t mean it wouldn’t steal the show and provide Shinsuke with the spotlight he deserves.
