WWE WrestleMania 34: Predicting The Quality Of All 14 Matches

10. Daniel Bryan & Shane McMahon Vs. Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn

Cynically, the only practical match structure flatters Shane McMahon and frames him, not Daniel Bryan, as the hero of the hour. Struck down by diverticulitis, with hernia surgery pending, Shane is only capable of the hot tag spot. He can only bask in Bryan's glory, which serves as a potent visual metaphor for the only blockade in front of the Yes Man's sustained superstardom.

But cynicism is as impossible as the sight of Bryan performing in a WWE ring once more.

Bryan will, for the second time in four years, tear the roof off the New Orleans Superdome with his peerless babyface sympathy and fire, and an arsenal calibrated to pop virtually all wrestling fans, from those who fawn at his dynamic technicality to those seduced by his inimitable ability to tell literally uplifting stories between the ropes. Strangely, it's going to be in some ways better than an epic, lengthy classic match, even if it only goes 10-15 minutes. It's Daniel Bryan wrestling, at the Superdome, once again. It's going to be magic. That is the only word for it.

For almost the molten heat alone...

Predicted Star Rating: ****1/4
