WWE WrestleMania 35: 10 Last-Minute Rumours You Need To Know

3. Conor McGregor's Surprise Challenge?

Rumour: This was one fuelled by Finn Bálor's "See you at 'Mania, brother" tweet to McGregor. The question is this: was that mere banter between countrymen, or could Finn not resist pre-empting what might happen in New Jersey? Will retired UFC bad boy Conor McGregor show up at WrestleMania 35 and fire out an open challenge?

Likelihood: WWE adore celebrity, and they always have. Any chance to attach themselves to those accepted in the mainstream media must be gobbled up, and McGregor has some serious buzz despite announcing his retirement from MMA. It wouldn't be wasted money to book him for a shock showing and announce his plans to wrestle.

Think of the possibilities here. McGregor wrestling a match in WWE would open doors to more media coverage for the company and give them another excuse (as if they need another one) to give Becky Lynch the rub. He's unlikely to wrestle, but an appearance isn't out of the question.
