WWE WrestleMania 35: 12 Live Observations From A Casual Fan
11. They Messed Up Ricochet And Aleister Black's Debut
On Friday night, Aleister Black and Ricochet - who still make no sense as a tag team beyond them both being good and bookers not really knowing what to do with them - were part of the best match at TakeOver against the War Raiders.
Sure, the match was mostly for spot monkey fans, but it was a great opener with great entrances and the balance of spectacle and story (in terms of the pair's farewell) and they went out looking great. They SHOULD have been crowned the new SmackDown champions after that. Or they should have at least pushed for the belts very closely at Mania.
Instead, they seemed to just be brought in because Black's entrance is great and Ricochet's spots are incredible. That also doesn't help with the perception that they aren't an organic tag team the way the likes of the Legion of Doom and War Raiders are.
