WWE WrestleMania 38: 10 Nightmares That Could Come True
4. Vince McMahon Replaces Austin Theory
The ears of casual/lapsed fans worldwide perked up when rumours began circulating that Vince McMahon would be wrestling Pat McAfee at 'Mania. Be honest though - most reading this who did get a little excited were picturing McMahon at the 1999 Royal Rumble. As always, reality bites.
It bites so damn hard.
76-year old Vince is still in cracking physical shape, but...he's 76 and has had his time on screen. It'd be an absolute shame if a young buck (steady) like Austin Theory was replaced on the biggest weekend of the year by his boss. Is it possible? You bet your a*s it is!
McMahon could announce on Raw that he plans to "lead by example" and show an out-of-his-depth Theory how it's done by putting McAfee in his place. Does that sound kinda fun on paper? Sure, but the reality would be sobering and it'd be rubbish if Austin missed out on his first big 'Mania moment.
