Rumours have been flying around all over the place for months that WWE plans to headline 'Mania 39's opening night with Charlotte Flair vs. Rhea Ripley. In truth, that'd be a disaster. Their match doesn't feel worthy of that spot, and the build has been rather uninspired all-round.

The Undisputed Tag Title match is a better pick.

Flair vs. Ripley has the makings of a flat ending to the first card, being brutally honest. Meanwhile, Kevin Owens teaming with old pal Sami Zayn to beat The Usos will play before huge interest from the live crowd and everyone watching around the globe. There's no contest.

The Undisputed Tag match has to main event night one. Christ, Charlotte vs. Rhea wouldn't even rank as anyone's second choice for the headline berth - Edge vs. Finn Bálor and even the Intercontinental Title three-way rank well above it in terms of consumer interest.

Give it to KO, Sami and The Usos. Reward them for brilliant Bloodline storytelling.
