WWE WrestleMania 40: 20 Nightmares That Could Come True

3. The Rock Struggles To Keep Pace

Cast your minds back to WrestleMania XXVIII and 29 (this roman numerals stuff has always been a bone of contention, apparently) in 2012 and 2013. At the latter, The Rock put John Cena over before bowing back out of WWE for the time being. In total, they worked just short of 24 minutes in-ring.

Rocky was quite clearly blowing out of the people's butt less than halfway through.

In fairness, any pro wrestler will tell you that all the gym cardio or weights in the world won't prepare someone for working a full match. That could be why WWE elected to shove Rock in a tag at 'Mania, but some will still be keeping a beady eye on his gas tank to see if it's running on empty regardless.

It'd be a shocker for The Rock if he was knackered, turned into The Ultimate Warrior from 1996, and could barely keep pace with Reigns, Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. Those three are all finely-tuned road warriors compared to Dwayne (Roman's part time schedule notwithstanding).
