Unclench those fists and stop typing hate tweets, because this fan will argue until he's blue in the face that Cesaro shouldn't take the Universal Title from Roman Reigns. Is he one of the most talented pro wrestlers on the planet? Yes. Is he ideal for the underdog spot against Roman? Double yes. Will he make the most of this opportunity? Yes, yes, yes.

That doesn't mean Cesaro should be SmackDown's top champ.

As painful as it is to think of Cesaro as a 'nearly man', one must also look across the ring from him. Reigns has been superb as the main dude on Fridays since August 2020, and he's nowhere near ready to stop calling the shots on FOX every week. It's only a matter of time before someone tears that empire down, but Cesaro isn't the guy to do it.

Being brutally honest, WWE would lose faith in him pretty quickly if he was Universal Champ. They'd get cold feet and cut his reign short anyway. Who the hell wants that to happen to him?
