If ever there was an award for which women's WrestleMania bout should have been far better than it ultimately was, Becky Lynch vs. Shayna Baszler takes the cake.

Taking place in front of zero fans due to the global b*stard, 'The Man' vs. 'The Queen of Spades' failed on so many levels. This could have been the conclusion to Lynch's year-long stretch as Raw Women's Champion. Shayna was deserving of such an opportunity at this stage.

This is a woman who had defeated both Lynch and Bayley at the previous year's Survivor Series, debuted on Raw by drawing blood from 'The Lasskicker', and eliminated all five other entrants in the Elimination Chamber Match to earn this WrestleMania showdown with Becky. She shouldn't have lost here.

Sure enough, she didn't look entirely weak against Becky because she only lost via rollup; the old Bret Hart submission-countered-into-rollup to be exact. Imagine if she had been submitted to the Dis-Arm-Her.

Furthermore, the former NXT Women's Champion did actually control much of the encounter, keeping Lynch in the ropes and just generally wailing on her. This should have continued all match long. Had she been victorious over Lynch, Shayna would have been able to carry over the momentum that made her the woman in NXT.
