WWE WrestleMania: Every Women's Championship Match Ranked From Worst To Best

10. Alundra Blayze (c) vs. Leilani Kai - WWF Women's Championship (WrestleMania X)

Okay, this needs to be said; Alundra Blayze and Leilani Kai's Women's Championship showdown from the tenth WrestleMania wasn't the best match ever. It lasted just under three and a half minutes, was full of Jerry Lawler commenting on both ladies' bodies because lol, he's Jerry Lawler, and at this stage, the women's division was an afterthought.

It laid the groundwork for the future, though.

This was the first Women's Championship bout at 'Mania since 1986(!) - the women's division itself had only been officially reestablished a few months before when Blayze became the first champion since Rockin' Robin had departed the company while champion.

Blayze retained the strap in an embarrassingly short match via German suplex, with Kai being here to simply give Alundra a credible victory. Leilani had competed on the earliest WrestleManias, keep in mind.

In short, this as a match isn't worth the hassle going out of your way to rewatch, but it's key for what was to come in the Attitude Era and thereafter. We should be thankful, really, that WWE even bothered to put a Women's Championship match on WrestleMania at this stage in the first place. The division at the time wasn't all that great - Bull Nakano should have been in here instead.
