WWE WrestleMania Mixtape: Booking The Perfect ’Mania
3. Best Women's Match
Percentage Of Votes: 35.9%.
Other Choices: Charlotte Flair vs. Asuka ('Mania 34 - 24.6%), Trish Stratus vs. Mickie James ('Mania 22 - 21.1%), Becky Lynch vs. Ronda Rousey vs. Charlotte Flair ('Mania 35 - 18.3%).
Women's wrestling didn't really get a fair shake until WWE booted out the 'Diva' era at 32 and started to take things more seriously. Early templates such as Wendi Richter vs. Leilani Kai were completely ignored in favour of more modern standouts like Trish Stratus vs. Mickie James and the current 'Women's Revolution' lot.
Last year's culturally massive Triple Threat main event didn't get the win either though. It was trumped by 'Mania 32's Triple Threat between Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks and Charlotte Flair; sorry, Ronda, but you've been usurped by a 'Legit Boss' in the eyes of Twitter fans.
It's hard to argue that 'Mania 32 was the better all-round match. Lynch, Banks and Flair had a chip on their shoulders, something to prove and didn't botch their finish.
