WWE: 10 Reasons Triple H Is Going To Make A Great Owner
3. He Is First And Foremost A Fan
No matter how many times the WWE has tried to push away from the fact or tried to shoehorn sitcom writers into its creative team, the entire business of professional wrestling has always been most successful when those in power were also long-time fans. It is not an elitist point of view but a fact that is supported by overwhelming evidence on every level. With the very rare exception the most successful names in the history of WWE were firstly either passionate fans or brought up in wrestling families where respect for the business was ingrained. In the Divas division when John Laurinaitis was head of talent relations it became fashionable for the WWE to hire bikini models, many made it clear they were only using the opportunity as a stepping stone for their modelling career; barely any lasted. In contrast lifelong supporters AJ Lee, Emma and Paige have already been better received then the assembly line of models. In terms of celebrity involvement the names that were also noted followers such as Muhammed Ali, Mike Tyson, Hugh Jackman and Arnold Schwarzenegger made for more memorable appearances. This notion even holds true down to the backstage interviewers. There has been a recent trend in the WWE where they have brought in interviewers straight from various TV channels with seemingly no knowledge of its storied history. As a result the vast majority have looked completely disinterested; the exception to the rule has been Renee Young. Before arriving in the company the Canadian was responsible for a professional wrestling segment on the sports channel The Score. Now in the WWE she is the one who has already been acknowledged by both fans and the company alike as the best interviewer they have had in years. Behind all the fancy suits and corporate titles HHH has always first and foremost been a fan of professional wrestling and those who came before him. It is just one of the reasons he will be a success as the CEO of the company.
