WWE's 10 Biggest Falls From Grace In 2018

2. Shinsuke Nakamura

Shinsuke Nakamura is one of the most charismatic figures in the history of professional wrestling and one of the biggest mainstream stars in Japan. Even so, his treatment on the WWE main roster has been less-than-ideal.

Nakamura had a great start to his 2018, as he eliminated Roman Reigns to win the Royal Rumble (you know, the one that actually mattered) and set up a dream match with AJ Styles at WrestleMania 34. While the match was good, it certainly didn't live up to fans' expectations. Nakamura lost the match, then turned heel on an unsuspecting Styles after the match ended. It appeared as if they were going to give Nakamura a run as a heel WWE Champion, but he would never get there.

Him and Styles fought to a double count-out at the Greatest Royal Rumble, they fought again to a no contest after taking each other to d**k-kick city at Backlash, then the feud finally ended with Nakamura losing a Last Man Standing match to Styles at Money in the Bank. Though he would win the US Championship after this, he did so uncleanly, and his run has been fairly dull overall. He also lost to Seth Rollins in an inter-brand Champion vs. Champion match at Survivor Series, even though he would have benefited far more from a victory than Rollins did.

Point is, Nakamura deserves a lot better than he's getting. If things don't turn around for him in 2019, I can't imagine he'll be sticking around in WWE much longer.
