WWE's 10 Smallest World Champions Ever

8. Kurt Angle: 6'0" 220 Pounds

It can be argued that Kurt Angle is the greatest athlete in the history of WWE. He's the only man that's ever competed in WWE after winning an Olympic gold medal. That gold was something he used in his career to get heat from the fans when he was a heel and also made the fans cheer him whenever they saw him. Angle is a four time WWE Champion, one time World Champion and also one time WCW Champion. His first WWE Title win happened at No Mercy 2000 when he challenged The Rock for the WWE Title and he won as a heel. He was on the main roster for about 11 months when he won his first WWE Title. Within a year or two, Angle was arguably the best performer in the entire company. That's unheard of for somebody new. It's also why he won so many titles in such a short time and often had the best matches of anybody in WWE. Vince McMahon knew that if he needed to put somebody over or see how good they were then that guy needed to wrestle Angle because he brought the best out of anybody. For what it's worth, Angle probably weighs more than 220 pounds or at least he has for most of his career after WWE when he was in TNA. However, on WWE.com it says 220 pounds for him likely because 100kg was his weight at the Olympics. It would be nice to see Angle in a WWE ring as the WWE Champion one more time although that's extremely unlikely at this point.
