WWE's 53 Wrestlers Ranked From Worst To Best
35. The Prime Time Players (Darren Young & Titus O'Neil)
Pros:
1. As a team, they have worked well in the past
2. They’re actually funny
3. Catchy dance & catchphrase
Cons:
1. Both of them lost a lot of momentum and credibility since they split
2. Titus is 37 years old
3. They need A LOT of work and attention to be built up as credible challengers
It’s funny how something as cheesy as PTP’s signature catchphrase and dance has actually been quite popular with the audience. Darren Young and Titus O’Neil have worked very well as an undercard tag team for many years, and they seemed like they were ready for a major title shot.
Though they were initially heels, their cocky attitude started getting more popular. This, coupled with general support for Young after publicly coming out, led to a push for the team. Unfortunately, that was derailed when O’Neil turned on Young, and the two of them went their separate ways before reuniting this February.
This is a team that needs a lot of work to be put in if they want to be seen as credible challengers. O’Neil is 38, which is usually considered ‘old’ for a wrestler unless they have a major storyline or have management committed to them. Together they have a chance to add some much-needed diversity to the Tag Team Division (assuming they don’t get over-exposed). But as singles competitors, neither one has yet to achieve anything fruitful.
