WWE's 53 Wrestlers Ranked From Worst To Best
47. J&J Security
Pros:
1. The perfect cannon fodder
2. They take their roles seriously (ex.: putting their fingers to their ears, as if they had earpieces)
3. Great for getting cheap heat and doing comedy segments
Cons:
1. The smallest security guards on the planet
2. No one expects them to ever do anything serious, except the odd interference/distraction
3. Their role would be better served by two up-and-coming stars, instead of two veterans and backstage agents
Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble were/are backstage producers with WWE. They’re also very small, often dwarfed in stature by their charge Seth Rollins. Yet somehow these two men have become bodyguards for the man carrying the most important belt in the entire company.
Basically, J&J Security are the new corporate Stooges, a collective position once held by Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco. Their sole purpose is to help Rollins win and be safe, even if that includes feeding them to whatever opponent is standing in Seth’s way.
While they do take their jobs seriously, their role could’ve been used to build some younger stars in dire need of attention. It would’ve made much more sense to take two otherwise lost wrestlers, or even some new guys in NXT, and put them with Rollins instead, giving them more credibility and making them seem important.
J&J don’t need this on-screen gig; they do a good enough of a job working on segments backstage anyway.
Final Rating: *3/4
