Having been absent from WWE programming since WrestleMania XL, it's now been revealed that Seth Rollins recently underwent knee surgery.

This news was revealed by Becky Lynch - the wife of Seth, of course - during an appearance on The Late Late Show with Patrick Kielty. As the Man explained, Rollins had knee surgery last Tuesday as a result of tearing his meniscus in the lead to this year's Showcase of the Immortals.

That meniscus injury took place back in January as Rollins faced Jinder Mahal on an episode of Raw. While there was initially some concern that the Visionary may have to miss WrestleMania, the former Shield man was cleared in time for the Granddaddy of Them All.

Not just did Seth Rollins compete at WrestleMania XL, but he actually ended up having two matches. 'Mania Night 1 saw Seth team with Cody Rhodes in a losing effort against Roman Reigns and the Rock, while Night 2 had Rollins dropping his World Heavyweight Championship to Drew McIntyre - only for McIntyre to lose that belt to Damian Priest only a matter of minutes later.

Many speculated whether Seth was legitimately hurt at WrestleMania, with him appearing to be in noticeable discomfort as a slew of the company's top babyfaces celebrated Cody Rhodes' win over Roman Reigns to close out WrestleMania XL Night 2.

As of this writing, there's no word on how long Seth Rollins will be out of action.
