This moment is buried in Raw history, largely because he'd be gone again just a short while later. Hulk Hogan had been on a near year long hiatus from the WWF, with many fans believing he'd retired from the business. The truth was that he was having an extended leave of absence in 1992 and early 93, in order to avoid any heat over the booming steroid scandal. So you can imagine the shock when he showed up on the February 22 1993 Raw broadcast. Not only was it shocking to see him back, it was shocking that it was on television and not pay per view. He entered the ring and gave a knowing look to Vince McMahon. He then cut the standard Hulkamania promo, to the absolute delight of the small Manhattan Center. Unfortunately, it was downhill from there, as he formed a tag team with the inept Brutus Beefcake and was gone from the company a few months later.
