Having left the WWE in 2004, Brock Lesnar had gone away and became a mainstream sensation as the UFC Heavyweight Champion from 2008 - 2010. His shock return to pro wrestling in 2012, on the Raw after WrestleMania, was nothing short of mind blowing. Fans were literally jumping up and down in their seats, amazed at seeing the beast of a man back in the WWE. The company had played it very well, largely keeping the surprise under wraps. No one had ever really envisioned the multi-millionaire ever returning to pro wrestling, as he'd hated the travelling and general hassle in his first run with the company. But here he was back on Raw, hitting an F-5 on John Cena and giving the crowd something to really cheer for. It was one of the biggest pops of this decade.
