28. Vader Attacks Gorilla Monsoon
It wasn't just WWF wrestlers jumping to WCW in the mid 90's, there were also some major names going in the other direction. One such man was Big Van Vader, the WCW mega-heel who also had a sterling reputation on the Japanese scene. He debuted in 1996 for McMahon's company, mercilessly smashing WWF wrestlers in brutal attacks. He was the 90's Brock Lesnar, just an absolute beast of a man. The most shocking angle came January 22nd Raw, when WWF President Gorilla Monsoon came to the ring and demanded Vader cease his brutality. Things got hostile, with the former wrestler chopping Vader on the chest. That was a big mistake, as the big man responded the only way he knew how, landing a big splash, elbow drop, Vader Bomb and punch. Monsoon sold it like he was dead. It was one of the first times a wrestler had clashed with an authority figure in the WWF, and the audience reacted like it was the biggest outrage ever.
