4 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE Raw (15 December - Results & Review)

3. "It’s Austin Theory"

WWE Raw Austin Theory
WWE

Maybe if he hadn’t spent the past two years as a goof in a mid tag team, Austin Theory’s reveal as the masked man attacking wrestlers wouldn’t have felt like such a letdown.

The masked man struck again during the main event, stomping Rey Mysterio to help Logan Paul defeat the Hall of Famer. He then fled when CM Punk raced down to the ring, steel chair in hand. The attacker raced into the crowd, where he unmasked and just stared – and the crowd went mild.

Look, it’s entirely possible that WWE has a plan to finally elevate Theory that doesn’t involve him losing his first name, or jobbing to an announcer, or stealing a golden egg. But that is an incredible amount of suck to overcome.

Let’s reserve final judgment for a bit, but we’re not holding our breath.
