6 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE Raw (8 December - Results & Review)

2. An Almost Cartoonish Beatdown

No, it wasn’t on the level of Kane and Zack Ryder, but The Vision decimating LA Knight felt like it was trending toward that degree of absurdity.

Knight chased off Logan Paul after the Maverick had laid out Rey Mysterio with brass knuckles (and with a little help from the masked man from Survivor Series). He challenged Paul to a match, which was decent for a Logan Paul match but nothing special whatsoever. The masked man stomped Knight, making him easy pickings for Logan.

Afterward, the rest of The Vision laid out LA with a spear and two Tsunamis. Knight was helped to the back after no one came down to help the guy who stood up for Mysterio. While Bron Breakker was cutting his promo, the cameras inexplicably cut to Knight backstage arguing with the medical staff, which prompted Paul and Bronson Reed to charge to the back to take him out again.

Backstage, Reed and Paul pummeled Knight and put him through a table, then laid him on the roof of a car for Bronson to splash him one final time. This honestly felt like it was slapped on for time – as if WWE realized they were running short and tacked on a five-minute beatdown to pad the Raw run time.

In storyline, though, where were the Usos? They just battled The Vision a little more than a week ago, and they were clearly fine and capable of helping, but they were nowhere to be seen. Mysterio was hurt, but apparently the LWO is no longer a thing, because they weren’t seen either.

Come on, don’t leave logic gaps that big lying out there.
