7 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE Raw (9 March - Results & Review)
5. The Ruler Rules
Oba Femi is the real deal.
Femi defeated Rusev in a match Monday night that was basically a foregone conclusion, but it was still a fun little collision. The two charged at each other like bulls in the opening moments, clotheslining and punching each other until Rusev gained the upper hand… for about five seconds.
Oba would take over, but Rusev posted him outside and beat on the free agent a bit more before Femi exploded out of the corner with a running European uppercut and finished the Bulgarian Lion with a Fall from Grace, ending this little side quest convincingly.
The match was Femi’s first physical test on the main roster, and it could serve as a hint of what’s to come for the rookie, with Brock Lesnar returning next week and still looking for a WrestleMania 42 opponent. Oba would be a great choice, and it certainly would be a spectacle, the kind that WWE loves to throw out there during 'Mania.
